Wide-Format Digital
Printing
How your
PowerPoint file may save setup expense:
Our Wide-Format
Digital Printer does not interpret PowerPoint files
reliably. Therefore, please save your PowerPoint design
as a .JPG image.
HOW:
For each slide that we will print:
Choose File > Page
Setup... In the Page Setup dialog enter new values under
Width and Height. Make sure that at least one of these
dimensions is 56 inches. Click OK.
Then, choose File >
Save As... In the Save As dialog choose JPEG File
Interchange Format in the Save as type: drop-down. Name
the .JPG and click Save. In the prompt that appears,
click No in order to export only the current slide to
.JPG.
NOTE: You may have to
re-adjust the graphics for the new page size.
WHY change
page size?
PowerPoint exports to .JPG at a default resolution of 72
dpi. This would produce a slightly coarse print without
any enlargement ...but most likely you need poster size
or bigger ...so that 72 dpi would become something like
15 dpi. This is the reason for the increased original page size
(PowerPoint does not permit a page size larger than 56
inches).
Please follow the
checklist below to avoid extra setup expense.
